In August 2011, NBNCo released a public document (http://www.nbnco.com.au/assets/documents/multicast-product-prcing-overview-aug-11.pdf) providing further details about the technical and pricing constructs of their intended IP Multicast service offering over the NBN.

Internode has provided feedback regarding this document to NBNCo.

The NBNCo document is public, and our submission in response is also public.

In our response, we have provided some proposals to change the NBN multicast offering in ways that we believe would improve the outcome for all concerned.

The rationale for those proposed changes is also provided in our submission.

A set of new plans were released by Internode in July 2011.

In that post, the following statement was also made:

Please note that Internode is currently considering whether some pricing/plan changes may be necessary for a subset of existing customers who are also outside of their initial contract terms.

That consideration process has occurred, and while the majority of our customers are not impacted, unfortunately some of our customers will be (to varying extents, depending on their current plan and their geographic location).
