Here’s the team of people who are involved in taking the Internode Tesla Roadster from Darwin to Adelaide over the coming days (click on the image to enlarge). From left to right, we have: Cheryle, Kym, Jessi, Emilis, Ben, Simon, and Kingsley Cheryle and Kym are driving our support vehicle, a Volvo XC-90, which towed the Roadster to Darwin Kingsley and Jessi are driving our mobile charging station, an 8 ton truck with a large diesel generator set chained to the back of it Emilis and Simon will be driving the Roadster. We are both experienced glider pilots – and I’ll explain in another blog post why this qualifies us to be efficient EV drivers. Ben is a former Internoder (very much missed) who is now following his passion to pursue a flying career. He is currently working in Darwin as a pilot – and its been great to see him again. You can also see that for the event, I have removed my hair and given it to Kingsley, in order to improve my personal aerodynamic profile and maximise the driving range of the Roadster :) |
